The heartbeat of TBRI®
is connection.

What is TBRI®?

TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.

TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

The goal of the Fort Bend TBRI® Collaborative is to support the healing process for Fort Bend youth who have experienced trauma by facilitating training based upon Trust-Based Relational Intervention.

The collaborative hopes to equip child welfare professionals, volunteers, teachers, juvenile justice professionals, and others who come into contact with youth in need with tools and techniques that bring healing and hope to vulnerable children.

Our Goal

“When you connect to the heart of a child, everything is possible.
